It is very rare that our skin gets everything that it needs to be healthy and glowing naturally. That is where adding serums to your skincare comes in. They’re like supplements that treat particular skin issues when used regularly over time.
Serums contain a high concentration of active ingredients to penetrate the skin more easily and treat it. Serums contain ingredients like Vitamin C, Retinol, Hyaluronic acid, Alpha Hydroxy Acid that you can add to your skincare routine.
The best way to choose a serum is to base it on your skin type and skin issue. For example, if you have extremely dry skin, you might want to add a Hyaluronic Acid serum to your skincare routine. For pigmentation and dull skin issues, you can add Vitamin C serum to your routine, and to stop your skin from aging symptoms like wrinkles, you can add Collagen, Retinol, or Peptide serums to your routine.
How to use serums

Once you’ve decided which serum you’re going to use, apply it regularly after cleansing and toning your skin so it can absorb the active ingredients of the serum. And then follow with your moisturiser and sun protection to seal it all in.
Note that not all serums are used equally. For example, antioxidants work best in the morning because they give you additional protection from the environment and pollution, while acids and retinols are not sun-stable and will degrade if applied during the day, so you’re either going to have to wear sun protection if you use it during the day or just use it in your night time routine.
